Porsche Boxster S Named 2013 Autoweek Best of the Best/Car

If you read my blog you already know how biased I am towards our Mid-Engine Porsche Product.  It is no secret how much I love my Boxster and how crazy I am about the new one.  I believe the 981 generation Porsche Boxster and Boxster S is the most fun you can have behind the wheel of a car you can drive comfortably every day.  There is nothing out there as easy and exciting to drive, Period.  The 911 shines brighter in many ways, but as far as bang for the buck and pure fun factor, our mid-mounted-boxer-engine powered roadster (sound familiar?) just can't be beat. The press seems to agree, with nothing but positive feedback and accolades everywhere.

The big news today is Autoweek selected the 2013 Porsche Boxster S as the "Best of the Best" car for 2013.  You can read the press release below:

Atlanta. The Porsche Boxster S has received yet another accolade, as this week it was named the 2013 Best of the Best/Car by Autoweek magazine– defeating more than a dozen contenders. This is the fifth major U.S. award for the Boxster since its launch in June 2012.
“As the only brand to have two models make our list of top five finalists, Porsche showed up in force,” said Wes Raynal, editor of Autoweek. “Both the Boxster S and 911 are stellar vehicles, but ultimately the Boxster S proved an absolute delight to drive, and it claimed the title.”
The third-generation Boxster is the latest mid-engine offering from Porsche and was completely redesigned for 2012. Taking styling cues from its heritage, the new Boxster pays homage to the Porsche 550 Spyder and Carrera GT models from decades past.
The annual Autoweek Best of the Best awards are determined by Autoweek’s team of editors and include car and truck models that are publicly available and all-new or substantially new for 2013. The judges chose five cars and five trucks as finalists from the list of three dozen competitors, scoring each vehicle on various criteria including drivetrain, ride quality, handling, exterior, interior design and “fun factor.” This year, the finalists in the car category were the Porsche Boxster S, Porsche 911, Cadillac ATS, Subaru BRZ and Dodge Dart.
Autoweek editor Wes Raynal presented trophies to the Best of the Best winners in the car and truck categories at an awards ceremony on Tuesday.

Porsche's Video Introduction to the New Cayman.

My first Porsche was a 2006 Cayman S.  That is when I realized what all the hype about owning one of these incredible machines is all about. I finally could relate to my client that told me he doesn't drive his Porsche -- he wears it, like a custom tailored suit.  I can't wait to wear this new Cayman!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to place an order.  Allocations coming soon to Beverly Hills Porsche, in Los Angeles California.

Cayenne S Hybrid. This Porsche Hybrid puts the emphasis on Sport.

Shot on a closed section of freeway in Orange County, California, we put the 2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid to a full throttle acceleration test.   I drove while my co-worker held the camera.  You can see the speed building quickly and hear the sound of the true Porsche motor.  You can see other video tests of the same car in my youtube channel.

Porsche Receives Three 2013 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards

Official Press Release:

Atlanta.  Porsche has received three Best Resale Value Awards from Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com for the 2013 Porsche Cayenne and 2013 Porsche Panamera vehicles.  Cayenne and Panamera were named Best Resale Value in their respective classes.  In addition, the Cayenne SUV is one of the Top 10 cars with Best Resale Value according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.
According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2013 model-year vehicle winners of the annual Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards recognize current and forthcoming vehicles for their projected retained value throughout the initial five-year ownership period.
Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value Awards are based on projections from the Kelley Blue Book® Official Residual Value Guide, determined by a skilled staff of automotive analysts.  These awards honor vehicles expected to maintain the greatest proportion of their original Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after five years of ownership.  Low-volume vehicles and vehicles with base suggested retail prices of more than $60,000 are excluded from award consideration, except in the luxury and high-performance categories.
